I’m an associate staff scientist at the Facility for Advanced Accelerator Experimental Tests (FACET) at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. My research focuses primarily on plasma wakefield acceleration for electrons and positrons. My research group’s work has been featured in Nature twice within the space of a year, earning the front cover in November, 2014. I received my PhD in experimental particle physics from Boston University in 2010 working on the Nobel Prize-winning Super-Kamiokande experiment. I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my wife, dog, and two cats.
